Catholic Women’s League

 

St. Andrews parish Section of the Catholic Women's League meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 2.15 p.m in the Parish room and have 26 members who are involved as Eucharistic Ministers, Servers, Sacristans, Readers, Choir members, Flower Arrangers and one is a member of the Parish Council.

 

They take part in the Town service for the World Women’s Day of Prayer. One Friday in Lent they provide a Lenten lunch in St. Mildreds hall.

 

Fund raising events for 12 charities include Christmas Bazaar, Coffee Morning and ploughman’s Lunch in aid of Macmillan Nurses.

 

Speakers give talks throughout the year on a variety of interesting topics or give practical demonstrations.

 

Spiritual activities include a Day of Recollection and annual Mass for our deceased members. Branch day of Recollection in London and Branch Pilgrimage to Aylesford.

 

This year the annual outing was to Dickens World in Chatham.
