St Andrew’s Fundraising Plans

The Fund-Raising Committee is committed to repaying the Parish’s loans. The first steps are to be sure when each has to be repaid, and to develop a plan to meet these obligations. This is underway at the moment through discussions with the Diocese and the construction of a programme of activities for 2012.

The approach agreed by the Committee is set out here. Inevitably, it is a broad approach, which will tap all legitimate sources of charitable giving and involve parishioners and the community as a whole. At the same time, we recognise that the economic climate places real strain upon many members of the Parish. Therefore, we must set our sights on the long-term objective – raising £183,000 before September 2021 – rather than be too demanding in the early stages.

Our overall plan will be agreed with the Diocese in January 2012. Here is the programme, as it currently exists. Naturally, we will keep this up to date through this website and a monthly summary in the Parish Newsletter.

You can also help us to repay the loans in a number of ways. You may be able to assist by:

 

• Pledging a regular amount to our building fund
• Making a gift of funds
• Organising a fundraising event
• Filling your St Andrews’ Pence boxes on a regular basis (available in the church porch).
