A Very Warm Welcome to St Andrew’s Catholic Church, Tenterden

“We wish all visitors to this website and to the parish church, every peace and joy. We are a lively, richly diverse and very welcoming parish of the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark. We extend pastoral care to those living in and around the Tenterden area, including the rural areas within a 6-mile radius. Please come and join in our celebrations or for some quiet time in the midst of this busy world.”

Father Behr writes:

Dear Parishioners,

Nowhere on earth are we more welcomed or loved than by Jesus in Eucharist. When you look at the crucifix, Christ is Risen! As we rejoice in this Easter season, we have many opportunities to deepen our love for Jesus.

Our Lord is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament, and he has many gifts to give us and much to say to our hearts if we are open to his love.

During these times of great challenge in our Church and in the world, we can discover Eucharistic Adoration as a personal encounter with Jesus. He waits for us and longs for us to know his loving presence.

Do consider making time for this beautiful devotion.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta has some beautiful words of encouragement to those willing to make time for Jesus:

“Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth. It will make your soul everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in Heaven. A Holy Hour of adoration helps bring everlasting peace to your soul and in your family. It brings us personal peace and strength. It brings us a greater love for Jesus, for each other, and for the poor. Every holy hour deepens our union with Him and bears much fruit.

Nowhere on earth are we more welcomed or loved than by Jesus in Eucharist. When you look at the crucifix, you understand how much Jesus loved you. When you look at the Sacred Host you understand how much Jesus loves you now.”
