END OF AN ERA - FAREWELL TO TRAIDCRAFT @ ST.ANDREW'S

 

 

The Traidcraft Stall will be open in the Parish Room after all masses on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June as usual.  However, it is with real regret that we announce that the following (16th / 17th) stall in July will be the last one.

 

Our Parish Traidcraft venture started in 1996 at the request of the then Parish Priest, the late Father John Hagreen who was, himself, a keen fairtrade supporter. We built up a nucleus of loyal customers and supplemented sales by supplying other churches and also taking our own St,Andrew's stall to outside events.  Unfortunately the numbers of regular customers have dwindled over the last few years and there is no longer sufficient support within the parish. We would like to thank all our loyal customers, past and present, for all the support and good will the stall has enjoyed but, as Mon.Ted so rightly pointed out, fairly-traded goods are available in any supermarket, so a small parish venture such as ours is no longer viable.
