The Parish holds a limited amount of personal information about parishioners on a protected computer in the Parish Office. The information held on the database is invaluable for undertaking pastoral and administrative work in the Parish.
Information in the database is held confidentially and no personal details concerning parishioners leaves the parish. Access to the database is restricted to the Partish Priest, Parish Deacon and a volunteer office assistant.
We are required under the Data Protection Act 1984 to inform parishioners of the existence of the database and also to ensure that the information held is accurate and kept up to date. This we do through the New Parishioner’s Form which is completed on first joining the parish and through periodic updating exercises. If you wish to see what information is held on you and/or your family, you should contact Fr John in the first instance.
